Chair yoga – as we sit all day we place a lot of stress in our lower back. This class is designed to help extend and relax the lower back while building strength. The class starts with centering, stimulating stomach and triple junction pressure points. Further, we explore various poses such as child, warrior 2, side angle, tree, for building strength while extending the spine. We added some Thai chi hand movements for building strength in our arms and shoulders releasing the stress from the neck and working on the cognitive processes by coordinating eye and hand movements. All along we reminded ourselves of deep breaths. We closed the class with a warm message of love.
